Information about our Sessions
Typical sessions last for around an hour, and can be a one or two weeks apart depending on the treatment plan that is best for you. Three or four sessions are quite often enough, although this depends on individual clients needs. A treatment plan will be created to suit your requirements, and will be reviewed as we progress.
If you have any questions or reservations about booking a session, we would recommend the FREE Initial Consultation, after which you will be much more at ease about your first session. It is normal to experience some nerves, and we will be using techniques that will help you relax and become more comfortable.
Hypnosis is a natural state that we experience quite often in our daily life. You can go into a trance state when watching a film or reading a good book. Someone can talk to you and you don’t hear them ! This hypnotic state or trance is very relaxing and comfortable, and you remain awake and in total control. While in this relaxed state we are able to influence the unconscious part of the mind to make the changes you desire. Very often you don’t realise how deeply relaxed you were until the session ends.
The good news is that hypnosis works for most people. Only a very small percentage of people cannot be hypnotised for various reasons. Also, as it’s a completely natural state, you cannot be hyponotised if you don’t want to ! It does work better for some than others, which is often down to suggestibility levels and power of the imagination.
No it is impossible to get stuck in hypnosis. If the hypnotist was to walk out of the room while you were in a hypnotic state, you would either drift off to sleep or emerge from hypnosis automatically. As it is the therapists voice that keeps you in trance, if the therapist stopped talking for any length of time, you would sense it and emerge from the trance state naturally.
There is no control on the part of the therapist, or loss of control from the clients at all during hypnotherapy sessions. The idea of this is a misconception from “stage hypnosis” which gives the illusion that the hypnotists is controlling the subjects. In hypnotherapy, clients will not divulge anything that is against their belief system. The client is in control, and cannot be made to divulge sensitive information.
As sessions progress you will be taught and expected to practise various self help techniques, including self-hypnosis if applicable. Some techniques will be set as “homework” and will help to re-enforce the work that we do in the actual sessions. These techniques can be an useful resource for you to use in the future.
How much does It cost ?
Smoking Cessation is usually done over 2 sessions. It is useful to take advantage of the FREE consultation prior to the sessions.
The full payment of £120.00 is due at the first session. Please use the Paypal link below to pay by Debit/Credit Card or Paypal.
Paying for three sessions in advance, saves you money. If you pay £160.00 in full, on or before the first session, you save £20.00 .
